NINETY SEVEN YEAR OLD COWGIRL, CONNIE REEVES, is galloping on the back of a purebred Arabian horse, through the Redwood forests and along the windswept beaches in Mendocino, California. Recently inducted into the Cowgirl
Hall of Fame, Connie is on a horseback riding vacation with eight “young” women, ranging in age from 48-70, who were her students and campers at the riding camp Connie runs in Texas. She is an inspiration to us all!
Connie Reeves is witty, funny and athletic. She’s also beautiful to look at, with free flowing silver tresses, a slender figure, and a spirited gleam in her lovely eyes. She dresses in the cowgirl regalia appropriate to long hours on the trail, but with a flair. She’s been a working cowgirl, training horses and running a horseback riding camp which has expanded into an executive retreat, ever since leaving the gentrified society life from which she originally sprang.
Connie Reeves and friends rode for over 20 miles through the forest on Sunday, took a short 8 mile ride along the ocean bluffs on Monday, and will be riding 100 more miles with Ricochet Ridge Ranch on the beach, along the coastal mountain ranges, and through a cattle ranch on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
